Futong Group actively promotes the strategy of innovation- driven and independent innovation, has Futong research &development institute, state-level enterprise technology center and 5 state high-tech enterprises. Futong has established long-term scientific research cooperation with a number of "211" and "985" key colleges and universities and many domestic scientific research institutions with the domestic and foreign patents, including 445 invention patents and 363 utility models and designs inventions.
All the R&D team members have bachelor's degrees or above, including 16 doctors, 38 masters, and 56 people who have obtained senior professional titles.
Futong Group is the first enterprise in China to master the full synthesis technology of optical fiber preforms with independent intellectual property rights, the second prize winner of National Scientific and Technological Progress and has undertaken and implemented a number of national "863" Program, participated in the formulation of 23 standards, including 2 international standards, 8 national standards, 3 national military standards, and 10 industrial standards.
